The Temples and Archeological sites we visit on the Nile include: Karnak Temple, The Unfinished Obelisk, Komombo Temple, Philae Temple, Valley of the Kings, Edfu Temple, Luxor Temple, Colossi of Memnon, Hatshepsuts' Temple (Al-Deir Al-Bahari). Exhausting to visit in the heat, but worth every minute. Doesn't everyone get to read from the “Book of the Dead” and recite spell 30B?

 

The sites are all so fantastic it's hard to pick a favorite. The enormous volume of Hieroglyphs is mind numbing. The boat ride out to Philae Temple was a treat, and the Luxor Temple by night is wondrous, but Karnak's massive architecture dwarf all. Seeing Alexander the Great depicted as a Pharaoh makes the history so real. Cleopatra, Horus, Nefertiti, the Greek Ptolemaic dynasty, Amun-Ra. Such a rich history, a life-time of study.
