50 Shades of Brown

Egypt: July, 2015: Bruce, River, Rain

 

Two weeks exploring Egypt leaves me overwhelmed by their ancient history and anxious to return to their Red Sea paradise. Hot, inspirational, chaotic, Islamic...Did I mention Brown? Dust everywhere, it only rains once every few years.....even cactus can't survive. Everything is brown, tan, red-brown, and every variation you can dream. Crazy hot, 105-108F every day (39-42C). Drinking water by the liter a requirement. Lucky for us; Egypt has the Nile and the Red Sea.
