Live Aboard Dive boats

I booked my Philippine Siren live aboard thru my local dive shop (Seminole Scuba), but it can be done directly with provider around the world. Hundreds of smaller scale live aboard options are available, but Siren dive boats and their management style might be the best on the planet. Take a look at their site some-time. You can't go wrong with them.

In my case, its a solo adventure. So I signed up to share a cabin with a complete stranger. In-it-self, an adventure. But I got lucky. My cabin mate was an experienced diver from the UK and we got along wonderfully.

The always important expresso machine was at my finger tip each morning, and between dives to keep me on point. The food was great for every meal. And making new friends is a big plus of these type of trips. I can't wait for my next live aboard.

All ocean adventures require some fortitude. Fortunately, my father - the original Captain Don gave me a world of training - improvising on the sea's is required. Keeping track of your dive gear, lights, charging cables, can be a challenge but patience prevails. Hopefully the other divers received that patience from me along the voyage.

I only put foot on dry land once during this trip. A quick 30 minute walk about a small island for a few pictures. Now that I'm back at my Cebu, Philippines hotel, (with Wifi), my mind hasn't fully adjusted. I can still feel the rolling of the oceans. Might be a few more days for that to disappear.

Hot showers, comfortable beds, and new dive buddies. Don't skip the chance to try a live aboard if you dive; you can't help but become a better diver if you go.
