Dorm Dilemma

Rangiroa atoll, Tuamotu Archipelago’s, French Polynesia

Of course my travels are about adventure and diving … but I’m always searching to understand myself better – and in particular; myself relative to women.

I booked a shared Dorm hotel room on Rangiroa. Four beds, with a shared bathroom. Not my normal accommodation selection, but on these remote atolls there are only a few options.

The first night I had the room to myself. No air conditioning; so the only fan positioned on me. Wow, this is perfect. Cheap, clean, authentic. I’m loving it.

The second night I share the Dorm room with two French hotties. I mean smoke-in. Wow!! This place keeps getting better. Visions of a menage a trois circle in my pea brain.

It starts well, but soon the older one slams on the USA’s immigration policy. So I engage and express that I don’t agree; making several points. She then turns to climate, world seas flooding, rich countries causing global warming (by consuming Chinese and Indian goods … its not their fault, but Bruce’s consumerism lifestyle that’s the problem).

Well; as you might predict. Within an hour of meeting 2 hotties – they hate me. I apologized for having different ideas – but it didn’t help. The lesson I can’t seem to learn – Men MUST ALWAYS agree with a woman on all topics and support them if they plan on getting laid. Or even share a dinner. They wouldn’t even accept me buying dinner !!!

Ahh!!! I’m hopeless. Untrainable, no amount of success can rectify my faults; my most grievous faults.
