Biological Communism

(best read after reading my Bio-Objectivism blog for context)

I find it disappointing that so many humans – very often Highly educated – don’t understand a thing about biology. This world-wide shortcoming has given rise to Biological Communism – NOT a good thing.

First some thoughts on education.

Yes, in the US – most all students in High School and in College are required to take at-least a minimum of biology. That I am thankful for! It is part of why I believe the US education is so wonderful. In the US, we attempt to force a well rounded education upon all students. Education in most other 1st world countries does not contain these same requirements. They typically are highly focused on their Primary discipline. For example: If you’re an Engineering student in China, Australia, NZ, France, India – you have no biology requirement (or extremely limited). Not so in the US. In the US; the same varied requirements extend to the liberal arts/humanities.

So yes, I am thankful that the US has such an education system and teaches biology. But yet, I believe it falls far short of ‘perfection’. Of course, the same will be said by the Humanity professors, the Art and Music teachers, the History experts. I do understand how we arrive at this juncture in education. How to balance the wide varied disciplines? Can anything be done?

Maybe for the US – its forcing only 5-year degrees might achieve a more well rounded student education – maybe including more Biology and Languages. While in many Foreign countries, forcing full 4-year programs (most are 3-year) and requiring Biology would help achieve a well-rounded program. Easy for me to say of course; the extra year costs time and money – both hard to come by.

When there is a Biologist around (or better yet, a Microbiologist); most in authority dismiss them as just a geek. How hard could biology or science be? They took a class in it during college. After all; the smart guys they know became Lawyers or Engineers or Business tycoons. That’s what a smart guy does – make some money!! Yeah, a few geeky medical types are around. But even they often are not true scientists – more practitioners. Smart, but still not scientists.

Of course, of course – I’m a Microbiologist – and I believe my discipline is of extreme importance. In the wake of 2020’s Corona chaos; just maybe such a belief will find its way into the education system. The world needs more Biologists!!! Only that plan can stay ahead of the curve. Stay ahead of the next pandemic panic. If China had good Microbiologists on-point at the start; the world be months and months ahead of its current chaos. Now, only world-wide immunity can slow its progress, that means millions of people catching the Cororna virus, and recovering….while the Microbiologist play catchup for vaccine development. … but I digress.

Back to my blog topic Biological Communism: What am I talking about? Be clear Bruce!!

Its just that with limited Biology in all our education systems, and so little focus on scientific theory. The world has now reached a wide-spread ignorance of what is ‘science’ and what is ‘opinion’. Observational science is now often 100% accepted as proof! opinion polls as 100% fact! – as proof, as science!! NOOOO, that is not science. That is opinion. And therefore, may be highly unreliable. Inaccurate, and misleading. If its correct, it’s by accident!!

This important distinction (science/opinion) then morph’s into a mis-understanding of what is ‘biology’ and what is ‘ethics’. This loss of this distinction; combined with the rise of ‘opinion’ as science has generated Biological Communism. A world wide phenomena.

For me ‘ethics’ is very different than biology. Advanced human ‘ethics’ and ‘morality’ is absolutely a primary goal of modern mankind – and possibly the most important goal – one of my daily goals. The ethics of treating each-other with respect. The ethics of NO discrimination. The ethics of honesty. These might also be called virtues in some cases. These are noble and critical to mankind’s advancement and survival. Personally, at try to be a better man each day. Improving my ethic’s, eliminating my bias, helping those around me, leaving the planet a better place.

(regarding a related important topic) - Simultaneous with my above concept that biology and ethics are different – is my concept that the genetics does encompass Culture. So in a manor, biology does feed into and create the foundation of ethics. But not all of life and time is dictated by genetics and DNA – Free will is real – for me – it’s a real thing. That is where biology and ethic’s diverge. Ethics is the free will to improve humanity for all. Not just for one. But for all. To summarize Biological Communism.

It is now widely accepted, that being ‘blind’ to biology is a noble ethical goal. And that blindness concept is supported by the ‘opinion’ that we (all) humans are the same, are all equal! That woman are the same as men, that all races are the same, that sex has no role, that all humans are the same. NOOOO, that is not biology, that is not science. That is an ethical goal. That is Biological Communism.

A basic concept of Political Communism is that everyone is absolutely perfectly equally endowed; therefore are equally rewarded, equally valued, equally empowered. And that there is one end-point all these equal people strive for. Perfect Communism and harmony. No one should be the richest, no one should be the smartest, no one should be more powerful.

Of course, true Political Communism has never been practiced. Only strange variations of dictatorships have evolved in countries that we think of as Communist. Russia, China, North Korea, Cuba, Vietnam. None of thsee countries practice Leninist pure Communism… just some contrived version a few men dictate as the best they believe.

Biological Communism is the same. Modern ‘enlightened’ thinking says all sex’es are the same. They are NOT. I absolutely agree (and demand) they all should have the same ‘ethical rights’, same opportunity, same access, not be targeted and discriminated against. But; They are NOT the same biologically. This confusion gives rise to massive legal issues, massive anxiety, massive mis-use of humanity, waste, and failure of resources.

Deigning that Woman are better then Man at certain jobs and tasks is insane. Deigning that Men are better then Woman at certain jobs and tasks is insane. That is NOT biology, that is ethics. So, to force these un-truths into a society; is to believe in Biological Communism.

Most teachers and people don’t understand this is in-fact promoting and indoctrinating others in Biological Communism. Most don’t see the difference because they interpret ‘opinion’ as science, and don’t study biology or scientific theory.

In fact, most humans have now somehow come to believe they themselves are truly scientists, climatologists, microbiologists. And even more disturbing; many these same people have gained power, received PhD’s and claim the ‘moral’ high ground….therefore they speak for biology, speak for science. NOOO, they are not biologists. The don’t treat scientific theory as a religion and revere its tenets as I do; as a well educated Microbiologist does!

If the belief in Biological Communism becomes overwhelming in individual instances – relationships fail. Marriages fail, jobs fail, and now – world-wide pandemics chaos fails.

Conversely, to believe Biology is discrimination, believes in sexism, believes in religious persecution - is false!! NOTHING in biology says that or implies that. Some people believe exactly the opposite about a scientist that debates these distinctions – these ‘enlightened’ embrace Biological Communism. Virtually rejecting science and true biology.

Biology and ethics can and do co-exist. Just embrace humanities huge range of existence. We are NOT all the same, we are NOT clones of each other (thank God for that!!!) – if we where clones - evolution would not even exist!!!

Biological Communism is NOT a good thing.

Conclusion:

Believe and support both concepts of ‘biology’ and ‘ethics’ and maintain your function. Achieve optimal success for all of mankind.

In a surprising twist (for me); the duality of the above statement harkens back to my favorite quote – one that I recently shared in a blog. A quote by F. Scott Fitzgerald. (see my blog Quarantined in Paradise).

To paraphrase Fitzgerald: “the definition of a superior mind is …. Is that one should be able to hold two different (and often opposing) ideas in your mind at the same time; and continuing to function… that is the definition of a superior mind.”

Or in my amateur’ish words: The path to genius, good health and the prosperity for all of humanity is only possible by holding these two correlated but different belief’s simultaneously in one’s mind – and continuing to breathe. Biology and Ethics.
